Tragic news.
A man has died following a fatal workplace accident in Roscommon on Thursday (11 August).
The accident occurred in the Tibohine area of Roscommon at approximately 10.15am.
The man, aged in his 70s, was pronounced dead at the scene.
His body has since been removed to Roscommon University Hospital where a post-mortem examination will be carried out at a later date.
The Health & Safety Authority (HSA) has been notified, and is set to conduct an investigation of its own.
