He has been connected to at least 50 murders.

In 2014, Samuel Little was sentenced to life in prison after being found guilty of three murders.

On Monday (7 October), the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed that Little was in fact the most prolific serial killer in US history, and has been successfully connected to at least 50 murders.

Little himself has confessed to 93 murders, and the FBI believe that all of his confessions are credible. They are currently seeking assistance from the public to help link Little to the still-unsolved murders.

The FBI’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Program analyst Christie Palazzolo said:

“For many years, Samuel Little believed he would not be caught because he thought no one was accounting for his victims.

“Even though he is already in prison, the FBI believes it is important to seek justice for each victim – to close every case possible.”

Little has claimed that he strangled his 93 victims between 1970 and 2005.

Many of his victims’ deaths were originally ruled as overdoses or attributed to accidental or undetermined causes, and some bodies have never been found.

The FBI has uploaded further details on five potential victims to their website, based on information provided by Little himself, in the hopes of finding the victim’s bodies.
