WWE star Sheamus made a young Irish fan’s day yesterday

Sheamus. Top man.

JOE

Sheamus. Top man.

As you may have spotted, Sheamus can do no wrong in our eyes but the big fella from Cabra outdid himself last night by meeting a young fan with a very serious condition.

According to the folks over at BreakingNews, while in town to perform in the O2 last night, Sheamus made time for Dáire Gorman from Monaghan. The two year-old has Crommelin Syndrome, an extremely rare illness that only four people in the world have. Dáire was born with no upper limbs and with no femurs in his legs and the family have had little in the way of medial assistance.

Dáire, of course, is a big WWE fan and Ryan Tubridy became aware of his love of wrestling and organised tickets for the youngster to the show.

Then Dáire’s mother Shelly found out where the wrestlers were staying and with a little help from the Make-A-Wish foundation, Dáire got to meet his grappling hero during an intermission in last night’s show.

Another child, eight-year-old Jessica Broady, also got to meet Sheamus, as the WWE tweeted last night.

Shelly told the site that Sheamus was great with Dáire: “He was fantastic. He was so sweet to Dáire, asking how he was and posing for pictures. He even signed the armbands he wears fighting for Dáire and gave them to him along with a programme signed by all the wrestlers.”

Fair play Sheamus you big legend.
