Young man dies in M50 crash as another man arrested

The single-vehicle collision occurred early this morning.
A man in his 20s has been arrested following a fatal crash in Dublin.
The single-vehicle collision occurred shortly after 1am this morning, July 31, on the N2/M50 Northbound slip road at Junction 5.
A man in his 20s was fatally injured in the accident.
His body was removed to the morgue at Whitehall where a post-mortem examination will take place.
A female in her 30s was brought from the scene to the Mater Misericordiae University Hospital where she remains in a serious condition.
Another man in his 20s was arrested at the scene under the Road Traffic Act and is currently being detained at a Garda station in Dublin.
Gardaí are now appealing to any witnesses of the collision or any road users who may have camera footage and were travelling in the area between 12:30am and 1:30am this morning to contact them.
