Young man dies after attending music festival in Meath

Gardaí have confirmed that a young man has died after attending a music festival in Meath.

A 19-year-old passed away after attending the Boxed Off music festival at Fairyhouse Racecourse in County Meath.

The cause of death has not yet been determined, and the deceased will undergo a post-mortem examination in the coming days.

The Gardaí have begun investigating the nature of the death. The man in question has not been publicly named.

According to a a Garda statement, the teenager received medical treatment on site and was later taken to James Connolly Hospital in Blanchardstown where he was pronounced dead in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The Boxed Off Festival is a one-day electronica festival that first came to Ireland in 2015.
