Relative to the more populated countries in Europe, Ireland has an extremely successful track record when it comes to winning the Euromillions and this week might be another successful one for an Irish participant.
For the first time in their history, there will be at least 25 new millionaires crowned in Europe as Euromillions have 25 €1 million prizes up for grabs. This is in addition to the main EuroMillions jackpot, which is worth a cool €17 million.
If you ever harbored dreams about being a millionaire, statistically speaking, this week looks like being your best chance.
Regarding the 25 individual €1m prizes, Irish ticket holders will be placed into a raffle against other participants from Austria, Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland and the UK.

Well, the Euromillions team have said that : “A raffle code for each line played will be displayed on EuroMillions tickets. This is your entry to the EuroMillionaire Raffle draw and the Ireland-only Raffle draw. An Ireland-only Raffle draw guarantees 10 winners of €5,000 in every EuroMillions draw. Results for both raffle draws will be published on the National Lottery’s website, lottery.ie, along with the EuroMillions winning numbers. You can also scan your ticket on the National Lottery App to check if you are a winner.”
