Works are taking place…

Irish Rail have reminded customers to check times before travel on all routes across the May Bank Holiday weekend due to some service alterations.

In particular, customers travelling on Saturday 5 and Sunday 6 May should note that track renewal works will see no trains operating between Connolly and Howth/Malahide.

As a result, the following service arrangements are in place:

DART: No DART services will operate between Connolly and Howth/Malahide.  Dublin Bus will accept rail tickets for affected areas.  Connolly to Bray/Greystones will operate to a normal schedule.

Northern Commuter: Bus transfers will operate between Connolly and Malahide, with trains between Malahide and Drogheda/Dundalk, to a revised schedule

Belfast Enterprise: Bus transfers will operate between Connolly and Drogheda, with trains between Drogheda and Belfast.  This will also be in place for the 07.35hrs Connolly to Belfast service on Bank Holiday Monday 7 May.

Irish Rail have also advised customers travelling on the Cork, Limerick and Tralee services on Saturday 5, 12, 19 and 26 May and 9 June, that alterations to departure times will be in effect and to check the Irish Rail website for more details.

On Saturday 19 May, there will also be disruption to Galway and Westport services from Heuston Station and bus transfers will be in place as far as Portarlington. Trains will not serve Clara and a number of alterations to train times will be made.

Some other routes will also be affected over the next month and there is a full list of all the works and alterations available on the Irish Rail website here.
