The dentist will not face prosecution.
It's a story that
dominated the news this past summer, and now there has been a new development in the sad tale.
Walter Palmer, the American dentist who hunted and killed Cecil the lion, has not been charged for the incident.
According to
BBC News, Zimbabwe's Environment Minister Oppah Muchinguri has explained the reason why.
"We approached the police and then the Prosecutor General, and it turned out that [Walter] Palmer came to Zimbabwe because all the papers were in order," Mrs Muchinguru said.
Interestingly, the trial against Theo Bronkhurst - Palmer's guide in Zimbabwe - continues after he was accused of "failing to prevent an illegal hunt".
There's no doubt that a lot of people will be upset with this news.
