"That is not activism."

Barack Obama has torn into "call-out culture" while speaking to a crowd in Chicago this week. The former President of America criticised people who attempt to be "woke" for the sake of it at the Obama Foundation summit on Tuesday. He did not hold back when discussing a generation of people who are quick to call people out on social media for minor mistakes, saying that it is "not activism". He said: "I do get a sense sometimes now among certain young people, and this is accelerated by social media, that the way of me making change is to be as judgmental as possible about other people and that's enough. "This idea of purity and that you're never compromised and you’re always politically woke and all that stuff — you should get over that quickly. "The world is messy. There are ambiguities. People who do really good stuff have flaws. People who you are fighting may love their kids, and share certain things with you.” Take a look here: https://twitter.com/attn/status/1189349299118727168?s=20 There you have it so. Obama doesn't care for your moany tweets. Good to know.
