“Attendance and ratings way down,” according to Trump.
US President Donald Trump has once again taken to Twitter to call out the NFL and some of their players.
Photographs emerged of Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch standing during the Mexican national anthem, but sitting during the American national anthem prior to a game against the New England Patriots in Mexico City.

Trump took exception to the photos which were snapped by Boston Globe reporter Ben Volin, and took to Twitter to call for Lynch to be banned for the remainder of the season.
“Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect! Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down,” he tweeted.

It’s not the first time Trump has launched attacks on the NFL, back in September the US President said in a speech that any players kneeling or sitting for the national anthem should be fired. His speech prompted a backlash across the league at the time.
Earlier in the season, Marshawn Lynch wore a t-shirt which read, “Everybody Vs Trump.”
