An extremely graphic description from the US President.

Reports emerged on Sunday morning that Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, the leader of ISIS, had been killed in a U.S. raid in Syria.

US President Donald Trump has since confirmed these reports, saying that the leader of the group died “like a dog”.

Addressing the world on Sunday morning, Trump said “He died like a dog. He died like a coward. The world is now a much safer place.”

He continued to say that he died “whimpering and crying and screaming all the way”, as he detonated a suicide vest, killing himself and the three young children that accompanied him.

“He was an animal and he was a gutless animal,” said Trump. “Thank you very much. It’s a great day for our country”.

Trump also said that an on-site DNA test confirmed the death of ISIS leader just 15 minutes after he was killed.

This is somewhat notable as Baghdadi’s death has been incorrectly reported several times in previous years.

A video of Trump’s announcement can be seen here:

The mission to find and attack al-Baghdadi, who was the world’s most-wanted terrorist, is reported to have included helicopters, jets, U.S. drones and military dogs.
