Second whistleblower comes forward in relation to Trump enquiry

Donald Trump whistleblower

An interesting development from the world of US politics.

A second whistleblower has come forward in relation to recent allegations made about Donald Trump.

The allegations in question relate to an apparent meeting between Trump and representatives for the Ukrainian government to discuss the potential for an investigation of Joe Biden, one of Donald Trump’s political rivals.

Mark Zaid, the attorney representing the whistleblower who first made the claim regarding Trump’s dealings with Ukraine and triggered an impeachment inquiry, tells ABC News that he is now representing a second whistleblower who has spoken with the inspector general.

The second whistleblower reportedly has information involving the Ukraine meeting to back up the first whistleblower, which Trump has previously called “totally inaccurate”.

Reports suggest that the whistleblower has spoken to the Intel Community Inspector General, and that he or she has not filed an official complaint.

Trump’s personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani has already responded to the reports, referring to it as an “orchestrated” campaign.

His tweet read: “SURPRISE Democrat lawyer has other secret sources. Swamp Media will corruptly fail to point out it means nothing, now that conversation is public. No money, no quid pro quo unlike Biden helping son make millions from Ukrainian crook. ORCHESTRATED DEM CAMPAIGN LIKE KAVANAUGH.”
