Michelle Obama has been in the presence of some of the most powerful people on this planet.
That’s kind of what happens when you’re married to the President of America.
And as intimidating as this might sound, she isn’t that impressed.
During a speech at London’s Southbank Centre, the former First Lady was discussing the many times she has been at functions and events with the most powerful people in the world, and she doesn’t exactly cover them in glory…
Speaking about the world’s elite, she said: “Here’s the secret: they’re not that smart. There are a lot of things that folks are doing to keep their seats because they don’t want to give up power.
“And what better way to do that than to make you feel you don’t belong . . . you have to prepare yourself, because when you get those arrows thrown at you, all you can fall back on is your experience and your ability.”
According to The Telegraph, she also had to inform the White House when she got a fringe.
She said: “So my team told them about the bangs but not because I wanted them to. I was like, it’s none of their business how I cut my hair. But that was the nature of things.”
