Stephen Fry Brexit

Nail on the head.

Not long ago, you may have come across a video of Stephen Fry fact-checking some popular myths about Brexit.

In a video entitled Brexit 2: May & Trump vs Truth, Stephen Fry asked the question: “Who profits from the hate around Brexit and Trump’s border wall of lies?”

And now, he is back again to dispel some more myths that surround Brexit.

“If Brexit passes without a public vote, it will be Britain’s bundled hour”, says Fry in this powerful video.

He also talks about the impact that Donald Trump has had on Brexit and wider society as a whole.

Speaking about The Donald, Fry says: “There can be no doubt when Trump says he’s a nationalist, he appeals to racists and those who feel left behind by globalisation.”

He also questions whether Trump really is a nationalist, due to his close relationship with Russia.

Fry then connects the dots between this level of nationalism and how it has affected Brexit.

As Brexit looms, meanwhile, talk of a second referendum has increased significantly, as has talk of the deadline being extended by a period of up to two months.
