Could Trump be on his way out of office already? This Law professor thinks so

He's in hot water, again.

Donald Trump

It’s an outrageous call to make.

Donald Trump seems to be constantly in the news for all the wrong reasons and again this week he was in hot water over a constitutional crisis caused by his son-in-law and son.

According to the Evening Standard, leading law professor at Columbia University believes this could be one fight too far for Trump to take on.

Philip Bobbitt believes that “the President’s resignation as a consequence of his family members being prosecuted as ‘the likeliest possibility’.”

Donald Trump Junior’s emails that were released this week showed that he met with a Russian lawyer last summer along with the President’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner.

Bobbitt told the Evening Standard that: “Whatever [Trump’s] policy goals, it has long been clear that creating a dynasty — having destroyed the two reigning political dynasties in the last campaign — is his greatest objective.

“Resignation, as remote as it seems right now, might well be a choice the President would make to save his children from prison, and himself from future prosecution,” he concluded.

Bobbitt believes that the only way Trump could possibly get out of this “mess” over allegations of Russian interference with the US Presidential Election is for the President to resign completely.
