Hello, sports fans.
So, it’s almost here. The most controversial and downright bizarre World Cup we’ve ever seen.
You don’t need me to remind you of the litany of reasons why this tournament is problematic.
The fact remains though that this is a World Cup – it will be nigh on impossible to avoid watching it or getting caught up in the excitement.
So before we quiz, let me say this: there’s nothing wrong with enjoying the football in Qatar, as long as you don’t forget why this tournament is controversial.
It’s the only reason we keep reminding you of issues such as Qatar’s laws against same-sex relationships, or the thousands of migrant deaths in the country – not to make you feel bad or guilty, but to make sure these issues don’t get forgotten because of a Ronaldo ‘suiii’ or a De Bruyne worldie.
Anyway, I’ll climb off my soapbox now and give you another chance to shoot for quizzing glory. And World Cup knowledge will really help you out on this one…
