If it was a worldwide category no doubt ROG’s bizarre cross-kick against Scotland would be in here, but these so-called clearance kicks from the southern hemisphere are still pretty damn funny.
You may have come across the top five rugby swan dives put together by the lads on Fox Sports Down Under which we featured on the site a few days ago and this time, they turned their attention to the worst clearance kicks possibly ever seen on a rugby pitch.
It’s unfortunate that there aren’t contenders from the Six Nations or the Heineken Cup in here – we’re sure there have been quite a few – but big names like Joe Roff, Drew Mitchell, Kurtley Beale and Corey Jane (in fairness all he does is get whacked in the face) all feature, even though all of them pale in comparison to number one Liam Gill, who hit the rugby equivalent of a shank while playing for the Queensland Reds recently.
In fairness to him though, he took it well when the lads ripped the piss out of him live on air.
We’ve all been there Liam. Not in as public as arena as you, mind, but we’ve all been there.
Hat-tip to the folks at Fox Sports Rugby and Rugby Dump for their help with this one
