Philip Leahy, a young man who captained Ballyhooly to their first ever County Junior B Football title last year, is in need of help.
A GoFundMe has been set up for Philip after the 22-year-old suffered an accident in Maryland's Ocean City last week while on a J1.
The campaign, started by the Ballyhooly community, reads "In the past week, while on J1 in Ocean City, Philip was involved in a very serious accident. As a result of this Philip is in a very serious condition in Atlantic General Hospital, Ocean City."
The site also says that "Philip's outgoing personality and love of life make him a hugely popular character amongst all that know him."
This much has been made clear by well the campaign is doing. The target of the campaign is €60,000, and huge inroads have been made already, with €13,430 raised by just 163 people in under four hours.
With even more help from JOE readers, Philip's costs can be covered. Click here to donate.
