Buzzfeed France have just given the ultimate compliment to Irish fans at Euro 2016

In the most romantic city on Earth, Irish fans have been busy winning hearts.

To say that the Irish fans have been enjoying themselves at the Euros is something of an understatement. Since the weekend, followers of the Boys in Green have been at the centre of so many memorable moments, from an impromptu Rock the Boat, to singing Abba with Swedish fans to helpfully changing a tyre for an elderly couple. All of those moments and more have been included in an article on Buzzfeed France, titled ‘Voici la preuve que les supporters irlandais ont déjà gagné l’Euro 2016’, which roughly translates as ‘Here is proof that Irish fans have already won Euro 2016’. 'Since the start of Euro 2016 , France was invaded by Irish fans.' The actions of some sets of supporters has attracted criticism throughout the tournament so far, but Irish supporters certainly can’t be bracketed in that category.
