In the end, it was a four-minute double-whammy that did the damage. Yannick Jauzion and David Skrela showed their class with two tries around the hour mark in Toulouse to turn a 9-9 game into a 23-9 lead.
Leinster hit back through the brilliant Jamie Heaslip but in the end it was a bridge too far for Michael Cheika’s boys.
