Watch enough of the Winter Olympics and you’ll know that when things go wrong in the snow or on the ice, they can go very wrong indeed. The Brazilian bobsled team of Fabiana Santos and Sally Mayara da Silva can thank their lucky stars that they managed to escape serious injury during a run yesterday when their bobsled flipped on a corner and continued along at high speed while turned completely upside down, with the two ladies still inside. bobsledcrash The sled didn’t come to a stop for 20 seconds or so after the initial crash and while, thankfully, neither of the ladies suffered serious injuries, it must have been a pretty hairy experience all the same.
