Here are the stadiums featured in Ireland’s Rugby World Cup 2023 bid

Paul Moore

Eight GAA grounds in total.

Ireland are the unofficial rugby world champions at the minute – hey, indulge us because we just beat the back-to-back champions New Zealand – and while the All Black’s might “reclaim” this crown on Saturday, things are looking very positive for the IRFU and the future of rugby in the 32 counties.

While the money rich teams in the Top 14 and Aviva Premiership represent a very real threat to the provinces, Joe Schmidt has galvanised the international team as seen by consecutive Six Nations titles and the recent test wins against South Africa and New Zealand.

Irish rugby, and the country as a whole, could get a serious boost though if World Rugby award the 2023 Rugby World Cup to Ireland.

The organising body met today to discuss their plans, present ideas and name the stadiums that could potentially be hosting matches in 7 years time.

Here’s the list of stadiums/counties in full.
