This might interest a lot of you.

Euro 2016 will kick-off on June 10th and over 70,000 Irish fans are expected to be travelling to France to see the boys in green take on Sweden, Belgium and Italy.

Martin O’Neill’s men are obviously the biggest draw for Irish supporters, but one of the joys of being in the host country is soaking up the atmosphere and watching all the fantastic football that’s on offer.

36 games will be taking place in the group stages alone and we’re confident in saying that there’s going to be a few drinks enjoyed by all.

Website expatistan have collated the average price of various items in the French capital and it seems that the average cost of a pint in a Parisian bar will be around €6. Unsurprisingly, it’s cheaper to purchase a beer from the supermarket, a 16oz can will cost about €1.80. Did anyone say cans?

These prices are based on consistent and reliable data that have been calculated from 2,036 prices that were supplied by 401 different people. The most recent update was this afternoon.

Take a look at the graph below regarding the prices of various items in Paris but continue to read on because we’ve also supplied a few sample drinks menus from some bars in Paris.

A similar website named numbeo has compared the cost of living in Paris with Bordeaux (the venue for Ireland’s second match against Belgium).
Note: these average prices may seem high, but it’s always possible to find places with promotions etc. Also, as France is the wine capital of the world, a few glasses of red are a very cheap alternative.

After learning this information, we decided to dig a little deeper and look at various drinks menus from pubs/bars around Paris. Here’s what Irish fans can expect to be paying in some establishments.
Note: The word ‘demi’ in French is a half-pint and it’s quite popular.
