France, who lead the group with 12 points from four games, are on course to reach Euro 2024.
Kenny's side are currently third in Group B, with three points from three games. Ireland have only beaten minnows Gibraltar so far and lost to Greece in June and France in the reverse fixture in March.
Ireland, however, could be out of contention to reach the tournament directly if they suffer defeat in Paris on Thursday night and loss to the Netherlands in Dublin on Sunday.
The Ireland manager could come under increased pressure if they fail to register a point against the top seeds in the group.
