Well, that was hard to watch.

Ireland were taught a lesson tonight against Wales. The Boys in Green travelled to Cardiff to start off their Nations League campaign, and it did not end well. The match ended 4-1 to Wales, as Ryan Giggs' men picked us apart with absolute ease. Tom Lawrence opened the scoring with a lovely goal, sliding the ball past Darren Randolph in the Irish goal. Gareth Bale was at the heart of the performance, scoring the second with an absolute cracker. Aaron Ramsey scored the third beating Randolph at the near post. Conor Roberts scored the fourth for Wales following a lovely pass from Gareth Bale, before substitute Shaun Williams scored a lovely goal for Ireland.
