Katie Taylor has revealed that she was disappointed with her opponent after last night’s title defence.

Taylor beat her opponent Puerto Rican fighter Cindy Serrano in every single round as the fight went the distance, and she was given the win by unanimous decision.

Speaking to Fino Boxing after the fight, Taylor said: “Today was quite average. I expected a lot more from Cindy Serrano today, I thought she was very negative right from the start and quite defensive. But the most important thing was that I got a good win under my belt”.

At one point during the fight, Katie even put her hands behind her back in an attempt to taunt Serrano into striking but her opponent remained conservative.

“I think I did a few things very well, and I take a lot of positives from beating a veteran like Cindy”.

Taylor has also called out Cindy’s sister Amanda, saying “I think Amanda Serrano is a huge fight, it’s probably the biggest fight in women’s boxing. I would absolutely love that fight”.
