Robbie Keane and Richard Dunne have been passed fit to take their place in the Ireland team to take on Armenia on Friday afternoon.

Keane had been struggling with a knee injury, while Aston Villa defender Dunne was forced to sit out a number of training sessions this week with a muscle problem.

Both have recovered sufficiently from their injuries, however and Keane will captain the side on his 101st cap. Keane will be partnered by Kevin Doyle in attack, while Paul Green starts alongside Glenn Whelan in the centre of midfield after impressing in recent friendly internationals.

Kick off in Yerevan is on Friday at 4pm. JOE will be tracking the game live in our football section from 3pm.

Republic of Ireland team to face Armenia: Shay Given, John O’Shea, Sean Saint Ledger, Richard Dunne, Kevin Kilbane, Liam Lawrence, Glenn Whelan, Paul Green, Aiden McGeady, Robbie Keane, Kevin Doyle.
