Manchester United – Wayne Rooney talks about his favourite bands, daily diet and Zlatan

Paul Moore

An interesting insight into the life of the Man Utd captain.

Jose Mourinho has already made changes to the Man United dressing room but if Ashley Young has his way, Wayne Rooney won’t be in charge of the music that’s played.

The United skipper recently took part in a Q&A with his teammate where he revealed a few interesting details. It’s crazy to think that Rooney has now been at United for almost 12 years now and with this in mind, he was eager to talk about his upcoming testimonial match against Everton at Old Trafford on Wednesday 3rd August.

While promoting that fundraising match, England’s record goalscorer was also happy to talk about a multitude of other subjects.

In strictly football terms, he revealed that the overhead he scored against Man City in 2011 was his favourite goal and that he would also like to be a manager after retiring.

The United striker was also happy to talk about the arrival of Zlatan Ibrahimovic at Old Trafford. Regarding the Swedish striker, he says “he’s (Ibrahimovic ) one of the best strikers in world football over the last 10 years. He’s always won trophies wherever he has been. I’m looking forward to getting back and training with him, forming a good partnership with him and being successful.

Skip to 6:38 to hear about Rooney’s daily diet and favourite bands.

If you like the music of James Bay, Ed Sheeran, Mumford and Sons or the Stereophonics then you’ve got something in common with the striker.
