“I believe this one is in Las Vegas” – Conor McGregor is already dropping details about his comeback fight

He made the statement while being chased by journalists through Manhattan.

It continues to be a very busy few weeks for Conor McGregor.

When not being completely outshone on public media by his own dad, he’s making statements in New York after agreeing to a plea bargain for his crimes earlier this year, which will see McGregor performing a few days of community service.

In a celebratory mood, he took topless to the streets of Manhattan to get a bit of a run in, and was promptly followed by a pack of journalists hungry for answers.

It was on his return lap that he finally slowed down enough to get a few responses in for the questions being hurled his way, mostly about when and where we can expect to see him back in the ring.

“It’s not official but we’re close,” and when asked if he thinks the fight will go ahead before the end of the year, he replied “I believe so, I hope so. I’m pushing for it.”

When the reporter asked if his comeback fight will happen in New York, McGregor responded:

“I love New York City, to be able to be here a free man, walking around this place. “What a city! We’ll see what happens. I’d love to fight in [Madison Square] Garden again, but I believe this one is in Las Vegas.”

This would appear to be in direct contradiction to the previous rumour that his comeback would be against Khabib in November in New York, as was set-up via a statement from Khabib’s team:
