Michael Jordan takes over Charlotte Hornets' Twitter account for the day

The NBA legend that is Michael Jordan, now the owner of the Charlotte Hornets, has taken over their Twitter account for the day.

Widely regarded as the greatest basketball player to have ever lived, the 51-year old, who hasn't much social media experience, took to Twitter today and commandeered their Twitter account in the #MJTakeover. His first tweet was a joke about making a return to the game he graced with such greatness:

I’M BACK! …just kidding LOL. Trying out social media for the first time and sharing my day with you. Ready? #MJTakeover — Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) October 28, 2014

He seems to be taking to it quite well and his second tweet was this:

Special perks of being owner, already got my commemorative ticket and shirt for opening night. Niiiiiice #MJTakeover pic.twitter.com/R8VnZPUZd3 — Charlotte Hornets (@hornets) October 28, 2014

There must have been some doubt as to who the real person behind the tweets was as he obviously felt compelled to take a selfie:
