Munster have named their team for tomorrow night’s PRO12 semi-final against Ospreys at Liberty Stadium, and Ronan O’Gara is on the bench.

When Ronan O’Gara was named in Munster’s squad for this game yesterday, hopes were raised that he would be fit enough to start this crucial clash. With Paul O’Connell already ruled out, O’Gara’s leadership on the field would be a valuable asset for Tony McGahan’s side.

But the troublesome leg injury that has kept the Irish out-half out of action since Munster’s Heineken Cup quarter-final defeat to Ulster hasn’t healed sufficiently for O’Gara to start, with Ian Keatley slotting in for Scott Deasy at 10.

Elsewhere, Donncha O’Callaghan comes in for the absent O’Connell and Keith Earls comes in at his preferred spot of 13 for Ivan Dineen.

And, in what could be the final game for a number of men in red, Mick O’Driscoll starts but Denis Fogarty and Tomas O’Leary start on the bench.

Munster: F Jones; J Murphy, K Earls, L Mafi, S Zebo; I Keatley, C Murray; W du Preez, M Sherry, BJ Botha; D O’Callaghan, M O’Driscoll; D Ryan, T O’Donnell, P O’Mahony.

Replacements: D Fogarty, D Kilcoyne, S Archer, Dave O’Callaghan, P Butler, T O’Leary, R O’Gara, I Dineen.
