They might be headed out tonight themselves, but the Barcelona-supporting press in Spain gave Jose a couple of digs this morning.
It seems that after three years Jose Mourinho’s time at Real Madrid is all but up. He may have won one La Liga crown but the ultimate goal of bringing a 10th Champions League/European Cup title to the Bernabeu appears to have eluded him.
Last night he made it pretty clear he was on his way to England and but for ITV’s poor decision making we may have known for sure. Anyway, while we’re sure there are some people in Spain who will miss the Special One, the Barcelona press ain’t among them.
On the front of Sport today, the Barcelona paper is not exactly sorry for the Portuguese manager.
The headline below reads: ‘Goodbye Mou, Failure Accomplished’.
