One Derry City footballer is confused about reports he’s saying mass this weekend in the Big Apple…
20 year old Michael Duffy from Derry City signed for Glasgow Celtic during the week and could not hide his absolute delight, and sure why wouldn’t he?
Delighted to have signed for @celticfc its a dream come true, thanks for all the messages to much appreciated, cant wait to get started

Meanwhile, over in New York city, a priest by the same name starts to receive congratulations on his move to the Scottish giants and is somewhat confused.
I seem to be getting confused with an Irish soccer player by the same name @michaelduffy_ At least one Michael Duffy is a famous athlete! — Father Michael Duffy (@MichaelDuffy) February 4, 2015
A Derry based newspaper questioned the priest about the confusion who responds accordingly and even admits to have never heard of Celtic, but says he will start supporting them now.
@derryjournal about 10 or so the past few days. Never heard of the team, but proud to have a Duffy on it! Now a reason to follow.

The news escalated and soon he was doing interviews with the Beeb, but gave his full blessings to the new Celtic signing.
Never thought I’d do an interview with the BBC about a soccer player with the same name as myself. God’s blessings on @michaelduffy_
