Four more years, eh?
It was hardly going to end any other way, but there was still quite an overwhelming outpouring of disappointment when it was confirmed that Sepp Blatter will remain as President of FIFA for another four years.
After all that’s happened this week, one might have hoped that he would do the honourable thing and resign or that delegates might see sense and opt for Prince Ali bin Al-Hussein, but alas, that was not the case.
The Twittersphere was not best pleased.
As predictable as it is depressing. All those FIFA members that voted for Blatter have betrayed the game they are supposed to cherish.

I wonder what would've had to have happened under his governance for Blatter NOT to have been re-elected.

Utterly ludicrous, contemptible, shameful farce. #Blatter

Prince Ali pulls out. If only Blatter's Dad had done the same.

Sepp Blatter is the right man to clean up the mess left by Sepp Blatter and leave a better FIFA for his eventual successor, Sepp Blatter.

Blatter finishes with "Let's go Fifa. Let's go Fifa."
Wish he bloody would go …— Oliver Kay (@OliverKay) May 29, 2015
Tired of all that FIFA nonsense. The fact that we talk about who governs football, rather than who is playing it, says it all.

Blatter won't have to redecorate his office, at least. pic.twitter.com/oIE7q4foER

"Honesty! Transparency! Fairness! The beautiful game! Your boys took one HELL of a beating!" #Blatter
