The comeback starts here.

Clare footballer and former All-Star hurler Podge Collins was dealt a cruel blow at the weekend after suffering a season-ending cruciate ligament injury during a club hurling clash with Cratloe on Saturday. Collins, who scored a point from full-forward in Clare's Munster Championship victory over Limerick last month, is facing a lengthy lay-off as a result, but rather than wallow in self-pity, he's already back in the gym and starting the road to recovery. Paul Kinnerk, a former Limerick footballer who's been involved in coaching Clare hurling teams at underage and senior level in recent years, tweeted a picture of Collins at work in the gym yesterday; the crutches in background seemed little more than an afterthought. https://twitter.com/kinnerker/status/605365371474964480 All the best with the recovery Podge; looking forward to seeing you back on the pitch before long.
