A touch of class.
When it comes to emotional farewells, Ireland’s record try scorer Brian O’Driscoll certainly knows a thing or two.
The former Irish captain signed off from the international stage in the most dramatic way possible by securing the 6 Nations title in Paris while his Leinster career also ended with silverware.
D’Arcy’s decade-long partnership with Brian O’Driscoll for both province and country, contributed so many wonderful moments and memories that it’s almost impossible to describe them all here.
The Wexford man has recently announced his retirement having made 253 appearances for Leinster and earned 81 Test caps with Ireland in a glittering career.
O’Driscoll took to Twitter to express his admiration for his former centre-partner but he couldn’t resist making a cheeky little joke regarding one of D’Arcy’s very first team photos.
What an unbelievable team mate & centre partner @Gordonwdarcy was for 15 years. Class is permanent as is the internet pic.twitter.com/2hOZas4nct

D’Arcy’s reply is just as good.
Don’t worry lads, we’re sure that both those hairstyles were really popular at the time.
