St Patrick’s Athletic take on Derry City this Sunday as the Saints aim to end their FAI Cup hoodoo.
1961 was the last time that the cup rested in the Inchicore trophy cabinet as the club have lost seven times in the showpiece event.
Sunday’s match at the Aviva will be a repeat of the cracking 2012 final with Derry City and the Saints will need as much support as they can get if they’re going to lift the cup.
We all know that Wendell Pierce, or Bunk Moreland from The Wire as he’s better known, is a big fan of the Saints and he’s been tweeting his support already.
We really hope that the actor sent this message in the style of his most famous character; drunk in a strange woman’s bathroom whilst attempting to set fire to his own clothes in her bath tub.
We’re certain that Pierce can already smell success on Sunday against the Candystripes or maybe that’s just Bunk’s cologne?
