Pic: Donegal GAA club Letterkenny Gaels unveil their latest signing… Home and Away’s Rhiannon Fish

Well, they didn’t so much sign Rhiannon as throw a club jersey over her, but it’s closer to the lovely April from Home and Away than most other GAA clubs in the country will get.

Well, they didn’t so much sign Rhiannon as throw a club jersey over her, but it’s closer to the lovely April from Home and Away than most other GAA clubs in the country will get.

Proudly displaying her love of all things GAA would be nothing new to Rhiannon or indeed to any of the stars of Home and Away, of course. They have become used to Irish tourists visiting the Summer Bay set and instantly getting the stars of the show to stand beside a flag, jersey or any sort of paraphernalia in their respective county colours they can muster up for a photo.

Rhiannon seems to have a fondness for maroon though as, fresh from pledging her allegiance to the Galway hurlers ahead of their All-Ireland hurling final appearance two years ago, she donned the jersey of Donegal GAA club Letterkenny Gaels while she in was in town to appear in Voodoo Nightclub along with Home and Away co-star Nic Westaway (Kyle Braxton) last Thursday night.

We were made aware of the picture by the lucky guy standing in the middle of Rhiannon and Nic (he’s a handsome bloke in fairness to him) by Gaels man Oisin Cannon and between the three of them they looked like they’d form a decent half-back line if given the chance.

Having seen the picture of Rhiannon, we can’t help but think we’ve seen her wear something similar before…

Whaddya mean that doesn’t look anything like a GAA club jersey? Ah, who are we kidding, we hardly feel the need to apologise for our error in any case.
