The official matchday programme for the Everton versus Bournemouth game today features a tribute to the 96 Liverpool fans who sadly lost their lives at Hillsborough in 1989.

It reads as follows: "Everton Football Club salutes the Hillsborough families and their total vindication as Fighters for Justice. Theirs is the greatest victory in the history of football. RIP, the 96."

The tribute ends with a quote from the Everton's chairman Bill Kenwright at Anfield in 2013.

"They took on the wrong city - and they took on the wrong Mums."
