Pic: Only in the GAA would you see the ticket that was given to some lucky punters at the Mayo county final yesterday

The McHale Park dining room was the place to be yesterday afternoon.

There are any number of things that you could say are unique to the GAA and we’d like to think that the diet of the average match-going GAA fan – which usually consists of tea, hang sandwiches and will occasionally have a packet of cheese and onion Tayto and a purple snack thrown in – is one of them.

Traditionally, GAA fans would spent ample time preparing said diet before going to a game, but some lucky punters attending Ballintubber’s clash with Castlebar in the Mayo County Final yesterday were spared the effort.

Those lucky punters included Western People Sports Editor Anthony Hennigan, who tweeted a picture of the most sought-after pass in McHale Park yesterday afternoon…

Only in the GAA folks.
