It would have been The Notorious’ first public appearance since the Nate Diaz defeat.
It’s almost time for the biggest WWE event of the year, with this year’s Wrestlemania set to be the biggest in history. Therefore, it would make a lot of sense that Conor McGregor appears.
The Notorious has been relatively quiet since his March 5 defeat to Nate Diaz at UFC 196, but with the rematch now confirmed for UFC 200 it’s all systems go again for the UFC featherweight champion.
McGregor is known to be a big WWE fan, so having a star of his magnitude attend would be great for everyone concerned.
The idea was even more plausible than ever, considering UFC superstar Ronda Rousey appeared at 2015’s Wrestlemania.

One man who thought there was a strong possibility of this occurring is MMA reporter Mike Bohn, as he took to Twitter to say this…
Conor McGregor's two most recent Twitter follows are Triple H and Stephanie McMahon. Surprise in store for WrestleMania tonight?
— Mike Bohn (@MikeBohn) April 3, 2016
And a quick look at the latest people McGregor is following raised the excitement factor.
However, the man himself has moved to distance himself from such rumours with one of the most disappointing tweets ever.
I am not at Wrestlemania. I'm in me gaf.

But then…
Or am I…?
