Pic: Tommy Walsh posts incredibly disturbing image from a rugby league game Down Under

Let’s just say it’s not half as nice as the one of him alongside Sofia Vergara last week.

Let’s just say it’s not half as nice as the one of him alongside Sofia Vergara last week.

Being the type of sport it is, rugby players in league and union often have to be prepared to put their bodies on the lines and to use a GAA cliché, put their heads where others wouldn’t put their boot.

During an NRL clash between the South Sydney Rabbitohs the Sydney Roosters earlier today, one Rabbitohs player took that approach to extreme levels.

Watching on in Sydney, Kerry native Tommy Walsh captured the disturbing moment when the Rabbitohs number eight fell into an uncompromising position when tackling one of the Roosters players and it was not at all pretty…

We’ve heard of players being metaphorically asked to never leave an opponent’s backside (to mark them tightly, in other words), but this is taking things a little too literally for our liking.
