She’s only gone and done it again.
Olympic Champion Katie Taylor reached a new level of excellence in Bucharest earlier today after her defeat of France’s Estelle Mossely in the 60kg lightweight final earned her a sixth successive European Championships title. That’s right, six!
The result was never really in doubt with all three judges deciding that the Bray native was the deserved winner, but despite being well used to winning at this stage, the pictures above illustrate how much this particularly victory meant to Katie and she has no intention of stopping yet.
A special mention too for Clare Grace (pic below) who won a bronze medal in the 69kg category in Bucharest in what was yet another superb tournament for Irish boxers. Well done ladies, super stuff.
