PICS: This GAA pitch in Cork is so flooded you can barely see the crossbar

Conor Heneghan

Forget hurling or football, waterpolo would be more appropriate.

We’ve already seen the effects that Storm Frank has had in Mallow and Conna in Cork today and Inishannon didn’t escape the worst of the flooding either.

JOE reader David O’Mahony sent us pictures of the extent of the flooding at Valley Rovers GAA pitch, where the water has risen to such a high level that you can barely see the crossbar.

Click on the individual images below for an enlarged view.

If it’s any consolation for the Valley Rovers players, pre-season training might have to be postponed for a week or two.

Cheers to David O’Mahony for sending this our way. If you have something you would like to share with us, send it to our WhatsApp number 087-4001102, [email protected] or hit us up on Facebook or Twitter
