“If ever there was an advert for women in sport and for women’s sport, it was at Croke Park today. An incredible day out.”
Cork snatched victory over Dublin by just a single point in the Ladies Football Final at Croke Park on Sunday, with a 2-13 to 2-12 win going down a storm on social media.
The Rebels looked dead and buried as they trailed by 10 points with just 15 minutes remaining, but goals from substitutes Rhona Ní Bhuachalla and Eimear Scally saw Eamonn Ryan’s side secure their ninth title in 10 years.
