Sean O’Brien tweets picture pretending to be a jockey; Peter Stringer stings him with brilliant response

No offence to Sean O’Brien, he had this one coming.

No offence to Sean O’Brien, he had this one coming.

Terrifying as it would be for both the poor horse that had big Sean O’Brien on his back and every other horse in any race in which he would enter, the Leinster back row got an idea into his head about life as a jockey this evening, most likely inspired by the success of Tullow Tank in the Bar One Racing Royal Bond Novice Hurdle at Fairyhouse on Sunday.

O’Brien posted a picture of himself hovering over his couch in a textbook jockey pose on Twitter this evening and posted it to the best jockeys in the business on this side of the water, Barry Geraghty, Ruby Walsh and Davy Russell.

It didn’t take long for the slagging to start on Twitter after O’Brien posted the picture and the best response of the lot came from his former Ireland team-mate Peter Stringer, who simply couldn’t resist the bait that O’Brien had left dangling with a picture like that.

As effective a method of putting a man down as a well-timed ankle tap.
