Sean O’Brien put in another virtuoso performance last night as Leinster defeated the Ospreys at the Liberty Stadium and his hand-off on Dan Biggar has become the iconic image from the night.
There were genuine fears that Matt O’Connor’s men could leave Wales with nothing with their summer losses and injuries within the camp, plus a defeat to the Ospreys recently in the league, but the men in blue dispelled those fears and deprived the hosts of a bonus point.
At the heart of the victory was man-of-the-match O’Brien, with the Tullow Tank not only getting on the scoreboard, but putting in a brilliant 80 minutes both on the deck and with ball in hand. No mean feat when you consider his opponent on the night was the highly-regarded Justin Tipuric.
