Sunderland footballer Adam Johnson has been charged with three offences of sexual activity with a child under 16, according to Durham Police.
The 27-year-old England international was also formally accused of grooming a child. He’s been bailed until May 20.
Johnson was arrested at his on March 2, but was previously bailed, and made three Premier League appearances for the club since his arrest in March.
