The JOE v Ladbrokes Football Accumulator Challenge: Week 13

Another week and yet another win for the bookie. Who knew they were good at this betting lark? Can Ladbrokes' Hayley O'Connor keep it up this week though?

JOE

After near misses last week, and a rest over the FA Cup weekend, our tipsters are back. Can Ladbrokes’ Hayley O’Connor keep up her lead on JOE?

All good things must come to an end and last week Hayley’s luck finally ran out. After three weeks of success, both Hull and Liverpool let Ladbrokes’ First Lady down, opening the door for JOE to close the gap.

Sadly we stubbed our toe on the door jam, as Sunderland’s bewilderingly poor first half saw them only manage a draw against Southampton, meaning our other two correct calls counted for nowt.

Anyway, with a sneaky midweek round chucked in, we thought we’d get back on the horse for lucky Week 13 of the challenge. Fingers crossed.

Here’s Hayley’s picks for Week 13:

Manchester United to beat Cardiff, 2/7

Now with added Juan Mata, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s return to Old Trafford could be a miserable one

Sunderland to beat Stoke, 23/20

Tough one to call but we reckon Poyet’s side are on the up, while Stoke could be going the other way

Man City to beat Spurs, Evs

Away from home City are getting better and better and they should outscore Spurs in the entertaining looking tie.

All in all, that treble comes in at odds of almost exactly 11/2 so that would be a very tasty return for my €100.

And here’s JOE’s picks:

Arsenal to beat Southampton, 9/10

Playing on Friday night, and with the likes of Arteta, Vermaelen and Ramsey back, we can see the Gunners emerging from St Mary’s with all three points.

Liverpool to beat Everton, 5/6

This is shaping up to be a belting Merseyside derby, but we just favour the home side here.

Chelsea to beat West ham, 1/5

No way Jose’s side go down to Big Sam’s mob at the Bridge.

That treble comes in at odds of a just over 4/1 and should move us up the all-important win-o-meter.
