Liverpool’s search for a new striker started with Falcao, then it switched to Cavani and now it seems to have landed on Jose Mourinho’s favourite pensioner striker. The Daily Mirror and the Star are both reporting that Liverpool are interested in the possibility of bringing former Chelsea striker Samuel Eto’o to Anfield on a free transfer.
The 33-year-old Cameroon international hit nine goals in 21 Premier League appearances for the Blues last season and he might be worth a cheeky gamble. With him and Lambert up front, Liverpool will have more pace than Alexis, Walcott and the Ox combined.
Brendan Rodgers could do a lot worse than take a look at Wilfried Bony, however, The Times think that some clubs are being put off by his £100,000-a-week wage demands. We still think he is worth snapping up.

Two of Barcelona’s most well known rags, Sport and El Mundo Deportivo, are reporting that Man Utd have in fact lodged a €40m bid for Fiorentina’s Juan Cuadrado but the Serie A side are waiting until they receive a formal offer from Barcelona before they return to Manchester United with an answer. One player that will be leaving Old Trafford is Chilean striker Angelo Henriquez, who has joined Croatian side Dinamo Zagreb on a season-long loan.
